2017 Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg S Grain Nobles Weinbach

Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg "S" Selection de Grains Noble Weinbach Made from selected overripe hand-harvested grapes with Botrytis (noble rot) from old vines in the middle of the slope of the Grand Cru Schlossberg vineyard. The vines on this absolute top vineyard are grown using biodynamic methods and the grapes are fermented with wild yeast in old oak barrels to preserve as much fruit and terroir character as possible. The wine has a very aromatic aroma of honey, quince, dried figs and hints of spice. The wine is creamy and silky smooth in the mouth with great aromatic intensity and complexity. Extremely precise and well-balanced with a pure underlying minerality. Nice long aftertaste and a wine that will last a lifetime.
