The fantastic Grand Cru vineyard Furstentum is one of the best Gewürztraminer vineyards in the world. The wines from the Furstentum vineyard are characterised by a unique combination of extreme concentration and freshness. In addition, the wines, sweet as well as dry, add a slightly smoky touch, as the grapes on the Furstentum soil are often affected by botrytis, the so-called noble rot. The light golden wine offers a perfumed aroma of exotic citrus, violet and a distinct note of smoke. The flavour is velvety and incredibly concentrated, and it's boosted by an intense citrus freshness that makes the flavour impression ragingly intense and harmonious. A fantastic wine - probably Alsace's best dry Gewürztraminer.
