2022 Bourgogne Blanc Domaine du Mont Épin

This delicious Bourgogne Blanc is made from Chardonnay grapes from the young vines of Domaine du Mont-Epins vineyards in Viré-Clessé and Macon-Péronne that are both Cru's in Southern Burgundy Our close collaboration with the Martin brothers, who also own Domaine du Croix Sénaillet (St.-Véran and Pouilly Fuissé), means that we persuaded them to declassify these better appellations for this superb Bourgogne Blanc. The grapes come from south-east facing plots situated on slopes with a terroir of clay, limestone, chalk and white pebbles. The bouquet is floral with hints of tropical fruit and minerals, the flavour is fresh and crisp and finishes elegantly with a hint of salt.
