With microscopic vineyards among the best vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet, Madame Gaganrd-Delagrange creates extremely elegant world-class, fine and mineral wines. Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the Cru's that, together with Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, make up the trio that forms the famous Côte des Blancs (the white slopes), which produces some of Burgundy's best white wines from the Chardonnay grape. The general perception of the wines from Chassagne- Montrachet is that they require ageing and only after some years show a glimpse of their potential. The famous Premier Cru Morgeot is located near the Abbaye de Morgeot, hence the name. The wine from here possesses great minerality and complexity - patience with this wine will pay off. You will discover notes of peach, white flowers and citrus.
