    The healthy old vines planted nearly a century ago and trained in the Cordon de Royat style yielded a wine of impressive depth, concentration and length in 2020, with aromas of ripe mulberry, fig, earth, smoke and spice. The texture is dense and firm, but the palate has an attractive, supple feel. The completely destemmed grapes, exceptionally gentle extraction and 18 months of ageing in cask produced a lush, lovely wine that is perfectly suited for mid-term ageing.
