2022 Villa Bürklin Riesling Pfalz Dr. Bürklin-Wolf

This organic Riesling is made from grapes sourced from exclusive vineyards around the town of Wachenheim in Palatinate. The soil in these vineyards is predominantly sandstone, which gives some fruity and light wines. The vineyards have been cultivated biodynamically since 2005, and all Bürklin-Wolf wines are now vegan. All grapes are hand-harvested in September, after which they undergo gentle pressing. The grapes are fermented under strictly controlled temperatures in steel tanks, and then transferred to old oak barrels. The wine has a crystal clear colour, and manages in the best way to express the Wachenheim terroir. There are aromas of green apples, lemon and flowers. All in all, Villa Riesling is a very refreshing wine with a juicy minerality and elegant acidity. Villa Riesling from Bürklin-Wolf is an obvious choice for summer dishes, fresh salads and seafood.
